Fitness Friday and Thankful Thursday

I’m a little behind with my Thankful Thursday, but I wanted to make sure I shared what I am most thankful for this week! Fitness Friday is also a fun time of me sharing my workouts, so I figured why not combine them!

Friday:

I am thankful for Aaron having off that day (he has off every other Friday) so he could take me to the airport. He calmed my nerves and made prayed with my in the airport for a safe flight. It meant a ton to know he supported me in this journey, but knew I was fearful of flying! My workout consisted of a run while catching up on my blogs (honestly the best way to kill two birds with one stone! The time flies on the treadmill!) and then a kettlebell workout!

Saturday:

I am thankful for having a safe flight to Oregon and the kids being so comfortable around me. I only see them once or twice a year, if that, so I would be lying if I wasn’t a bit hesitant that they wouldn’t remember me. We had face-timed a few times before, and they took right to me! My workout was a 4.something mile run with Kristy! It was on a trail right near her house, and it was beautiful outside. I hadn’t been running outside in a while, so it felt great to do it, and throw some hills in it.

Sunday:

I am thankful that the time change occurred at the same time I was adjusting to already having a 3 hour time difference, so it didn’t really effect me! I think I will have a harder time when I adjust to being 3 hours ahead, though. My workout was zilch. Sunday’s are usually my rest days anyway, so it worked out great!

Monday:

I am thankful that I had some alone time to hang out with Charlotte and just play with her. She had soccer practice, and loved showing me all the things she can do! My workout wasn’t the best! Like I mentioned, my foot had a sharp pain in it, so I did a 20 (or 25) minute walk on the treadmill, and followed up with Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred.

Tuesday:

I am thankful that I found some awesome deals at Columbia! I love outlets too much! I will be forever thankful if the clothes all fit in my suitcase on the way home and I don’t have to wear them through the airport (and look like a homeless person!) My workout was a fantastic 4.5 (or around there) run along the river and on a bike trail. It was beautiful outside, perfect running weather, and exploring new areas was great.

Wednesday:

I am thankful that Charlotte had no problem going to school any of the days, and that I got a hug goodbye each time Smile I was not going to force her into school any day if she was having a hard time adjusting to me taking her, but she is such a champ, and had no problems! My workout was a 3 mile run along the river, but my foot was hurting throughout. I also did Insanity Cardio Strength and Resistance while Charlotte napped. I forgot how hard those are!

Thursday:

I am thankful for having Peter and Emma home all day! We had so much fun making a Gingerbread Bunny house and playing outside. After picking up Charlotte from school, we even made it out to lunch. My workout consisted of Tone It Up’s Bride section, Something Blue workout.

Friday:

I am thankful that the kids and I are having a great last day together (well, by ourselves!). They were a little on the cranky side this morning, but we headed out for bagels and hit up the school’s book fair, and they were good to go! My workout was a 25 minute run on the treadmill before they woke up, and a few Tone It Up workouts.

******

I hope you all have a great holiday weekend! Good luck to those running St. Patrick’s Day races. I am one of them, and the forecast keeps going downhill! Beautiful all week, but not lasting through Sunday!

I’m pretty sure our race ends with a cup of beer! What could be better, right?

    Questions:
    • Are you running a race this weekend?
    • What was your favorite workout of the week?
    • Any exciting weekend plans?

    • What are you MOST thankful for this week?

    1. Wow, I love that you made your thankful list into something for each day. I should start doing this! Sounds like you still had a pretty good week of workouts for being on vacation. Whenever I’m on vacation my workouts are the last thing I get to fit in usually. Sounds like you’ve had a good trip, too!
