An Exciting May

As I mentioned this morning, I have a lot of fun things coming up this month! Being that it is May 1, what better time to share some of the fun happening and some goals for the month!

– One of the major things making me a very happy girl right now, Aaron is coming home today! I can’t wait to pick that cute boy up at the airport! He works for the government, so things are never according to schedule. (He left with a one way ticket out there and no idea when he would come home!) Thankfully, his coworker and him kicked butt on Monday and cranked out a 16 hour work day! This meant they had a bit to finish yesterday, and he is currently in the air as we speak! I know, it’s been like 3 days and I’m a baby. I already told my parents to prepare themselves for when Aaron goes out of town. I’ll be home in my old bed mooching off my parents Smile

Two special birthdays occur this month. Those would be Aaron’s, and mine!

– We are docking out boat this Saturday, which will always make me happy! However, due to Mr. Winter never wanting to leave, I don’t know when we might be able to get in that water!

– I can’t wait to make my way down to Pittsburgh to cheer on the Marathon and Half Marathon runners this weekend! One of my best friends is running it (Good luck Kathryn!), and my uncle is also running it! I know a few blogger friends who are running it, too! Look for me on the sidelines cheering you all on! I’ll be the one insanely jealous of everyone running. I am determined to fix my stomach problems and run another half-marathon.IMG_2175

– My first shower is in 10 days. I am very excited to see all the work my bridesmaids have been working on! I know they will do a fantastic job!

– My cousin, Bridget, and Aaron’s brother, Aric, are graduating high school at the end of the month! I am so excited and proud of both of them, and so excited for their next adventure!

– I am determined to start adding more running into my life. I love it so much, but when I work out in the morning, I don’t feel comfortable running in the dark. Hopefully the dark becomes light soon, and I can head out in the early morning! The treadmill is overrated. Unless I am working on speed, then we are friends!

What are you looking forward to this month?

Do you enjoy cheering runners on?

What TV show have you been loving lately?

What time of the day do you read blogs? First thing in the morning? All day? Afternoon?

  1. Sounds like a wonderful May coming up! Yay! And that’s cool that you’re cheering runners on, I bet they all appreciate it. I should do that one day.

I read blogs in the morning. And a few in the evening. :p

  2. This sounds like such a fun month for you guys!! For us, it’s November! Both of our b-days, including my moms and dads too, and a holiday where your only mission is to eat all day? Best month ever.

Hahaha that definitely would make November the best! I like to think my birthday is enough of a reason to celebrate and eat all day

  3. You do have a busy, yet fun, month! I agree, it is so hard to not feel lonely/weird when your significant other travels. There was a time last year where Kyle was gone for THREE weeks for a business trip. YUCK. I get really cranky then 😉

Three weeks?! Oh man I’d be losing my mind! Aaron has to go to Japan this fall and I already worry lol

  4. A busy but wonderful month coming your way! You and your fiance are a gorgeous couple! My husband is in the Navy, so in this house we really understand those one way tickets.. argh! You guys are tough!

Aww thanks so much! I give everyone credit who has someone in the army or military! I cannot imagine dealing with moves all the time 🙁 YOU’RE the tough one!

  5. I can totally relate to you about the government job thing never being on time! My husband also works in government and everything is always changing. I used to be a baby when he went out of town, but he goes so often that I’m used to it I guess. Glad Aaron is back tho 🙂

I was actually just pondering when I read blogs or when is “best” to read them. I feel like first thing in the morning when many posts are published is the best time. But I usually like to have my mornings tech-free, so it’s hard for me to find balance…

I didn’t know your husband worked for them too! I’m not sure how his job is, but Aaron isn’t allowed to have a cell phone during the day either, which totally stinks! The government “go at your pace” “things will change” attitude does NOT work for this girl right here! I’d be freaking out! Haha

I always read blogs in the morning, too, but I feel like I don’t give them as much attention first thing, as I would in the afternoon when I don’t have blogs to read. Hmm

  6. I’m a big Game of Thrones and Mad Men fan, but I’m also secretly addicted to Dance Moms. (I guess it’s not so secret anymore).

I really love cheering people on, it ALWAYS puts me in a good mood!!

I read blogs whenever I can fit them in. Lately that hasn’t been very often =(. Slowly catching up! When I’m back on track, I usually read them first thing in the morning before work while I eat breakfast and watch the news and when I get home from work.

Dance Moms is filmed in my city 🙂 I haven’t actually been to any races to cheer people on, so I’m really excited!! I typically read them in the morning, mostly, and then throughout the day, too! I’m trying to come up with a better system, though. lol
