Treat Yourself Tuesday and Full Body Circuit Workout

Before I begin, I want to take a moment for all those killed in the D.C. Naval Yard shooting. I can only hope they catch whoever else they believe was in it, and find out why. The Naval Yard works very closely with Aaron’s job, so even thinking it could have happened to him gives me chills. Remember to pray for your loved ones everyday. <3

Ready for a new workout to kick your boo-tayyy? I love those workouts, and lucky for you, it’s your day!

This week, I wanted to focus on a full body workout, but switch something up. I decided on four circuits, and four rounds for each. I typically go with 3 rounds of everything I do, but you gotta switch it up sometimes! Of course, if you don’t want to do it 4 times, or don’t have time, don’t feel like you have to!

Remember, warm up, and cool down with this workout! It incorporates all of your body parts, and even includes some cardio bursts! Hope you enjoy like I did!

Just had to break out that pumpkin! Smile

And for some Treat Yourself Tuesday

I headed out to the grocery store last night, wearing perhaps my favorite outfit

, but I decided I wanted to try some new tea, so I treated myself to a new flavor! Since I don’t like coffee, I chose a tea with caffeine in it to wake me up in the morning! No idea if it will work, or if I will like it, but worth a shot, right?

How badly does caffeine affect you? Can you go to sleep after drinking it? Does it really wake you up?

What’s YOUR favorite outfit to wear?

  1. I love coffee, but more for the taste than the actual effects. I HAVE been cutting back on the caffeine a little bit lately though since I noticed it was starting to give me headaches. Now I keep it to half-caf and drink an extra cup of black tea instead.

I hear it gives headaches to people quite frequently.. glad to know you are cutting back so you feel better :) Caffeine really never does anything to me, haha. I can drink a coke at 11 and go to sleep at 11:30.

  2. I actually don’t drink caffeine (unless you count the minuscule amount in hot chocolate). I can’t get past the taste so I don’t even know what the effect would have on me! I know massive amounts of sugar helps though ;)

Umm, i just love you love hot chocolate as much as me. Seriously, it makes my heart happy haha I can’t stand the taste in coffee, either, so oh well! I will continue to eat my baked goods ;)

  3. That workout looks awesome! Pinning :)

I actually just recently have discovered that I don’t think I can drink coffee anymore… (affects my breathing issues). I’ve been drinking tea lately, sometimes herbal, sometimes caffeinated. For some reason the caffeine in coffee really affects me. I drink coffee because I love the taste, not because I desire to be amped up on caffeine, though. Looks like I’ll be switching to decaf!

Oh no! I am glad you are making some progress to figure out what’s wrong, though. Breathing is pretty important :) I don’t really know too many people who drink coffee for the test so I love hearing that! That’s actually what I don’t enjoy about it, unfortunately :(

  4. I love coffee! I’m definitely not 100% unless I have it every morning. It really does help me wake up, although since I cut out grains from diet 2 weeks ago I have so much more energy I could probably go without.

  5. Caffeine plays a HUGE role in waking me up in the morning. I usually one have one cup because if I have coffee later in the day it’s hard for me to sleep. Let me know how you like the tea! Since I’ve been drinking coffee for a while and it has a higher caffeine content, I’m usually OK to drink tea throughout the day and I’m able to sleep fine at night.

  7. I can’t have caffeine after work or I will be up alllllll night. I have one cup of coffee every now and then but prefer my chai tea.

  8. Haha I love the candy corns on your fitness image. Does that mean I get to have a handful of candy between each circuit? ;) I cannot have caffeine at all. It makes me super jittery, almost to the point of fainting! Once I figured that out, I actually feel more awake without and definitely don’t depend on it to get my morning wake up. Let me know how that tea is though – sometimes I sneak in a bit of tea because they don’t have as much caffeine as coffee :) And thanks for linking up!

Candy corn provides the sugar you need to keep your energy up during your workout, no? Haha I’d say a few pieces are well worth it in between circuits ;) I have never heard of caffeine actually making someone jittery- I usually hear about it from someone who hasn’t had their cup today and are going through withdrawal! So glad you figured it out :)

  9. I’m pretty sure I have the same travel mug in pink and turquoise! I’m affected by caffeine in the sense that I sometimes get a headache if I don’t have any in the morning or afternoons but I can also go to sleep after a few cups without any problem. One of my favorite teas is celestial seasonins Nutcracker Sweet! It’s one of the holiday teas so I always try to stock up around christmas.

Love the mug! It goes everywhere with me :) Aaron has it in green- I was obsessed and made him too, lol. I haven’t tried Nutcracker! I really need to get on my seasonal teas! haha

  10. This looks like a great workout and four rounds will be a challenge. Coffee in the AM is a must, but I honestly think it has more to do with the comfort it provides rather than the caffeine.

  11. I love coffee and prior to becoming pregnant, I would drink a cup or two a day and the caffeine gave me a little jolt, but not jittery. Though, if I drank it past 3 p.m., I would not be able to go to sleep. Now, I drink one decaf cup a day and I sure miss that little jolt of energy in the mornings!
