First time Pazookie lover

Thank you all for your responses to yesterday’s topic. It is sometimes a hard thing to admit (and shouldn’t be), but so many of you brought up excellent points, and shared your struggles. I have read every one of them, and they all meant a lot <3

1. Tomorrow I am running The Color Run with Aaron, my cousin, and her friend! It will probably not be any strenuous running, but more of a walk/jog just to have fun with it! I am really excited, especially because it is 5 minutes from my house!

2. I totally forgot about this mug but found it at my parent’s house this week. Not only does it remind me of how much fun I had out there, but it’s just a big ‘ol tea mug for my tea addiction I have going on. Our house is about 62 degrees, which I am not complaining about at all!, but it’s perfect tea drinking weather Smile

3. Aaron and I tried pazookies last night! So many people in the blog land have been talking about these lately, so of course I needed to try one! I made individual ones (they look really big, but it was a small cup) for Aaron and I , and then a larger cookie cake (let’s not get into how bad that turned out!). They were delicious. Aaron said I should have saved the rest of the dough to make individual ones all the time. Basically, a pazookie is a slightly cooked cookie. A lot of people top it with ice cream as soon as it comes out of the oven, but 1) we don’t have ice cream, and 2) I don’t really like plain ice cream. pazookie

4. I made a Starbucks run the other day to buy Aaron coffee that he loves, and of course needed a treat myself! It has been so long since I have gotten something at Starbucks, but it always tastes better coming from them Winking smile

5. My mom has been in a workout funk lately since I am not home to push her, and haven’t been coming over as much to workout. She said she needed a workout plan that would last a few weeks so she doesn’t have to learn new workouts. Obviously I jumped at the chance, so now I am making her a schedule Smile I love it! I’m hoping to finish it today! Told you I like making schedule!

  1. I LOVE PAZOOKIES! I’ve never made my own but now all I want is a cookie at 7am. COOKIEEEEEEEEE. Okay. I’m done. Ha I hope you have a great weekend! I’ve always wanted to do a color run and they seem like so much fun so I hope you enjoy it 🙂

  3. I had my first pazookie about two weeks ago at my soon to be sister in law’s bachelorette party and I loved it!! I even wrote about it on my blog too! If you have a BJ’s Brewhouse around where you live, go and try their Pazookies! They are to die for! And my Mom works out, but she is limited to what she can do. About 12 years ago my Mom had cancer and it was really serious. Because of it she has a paralyzed vocal chord, which makes breathing really hard for her. So this takes out a lot of exercises for her because anything that requires too much cardio for her isn’t good for her. But she works out in the pool in the summer, she has resistance bands she uses for strength training, and she has recently started walking almost every day! I am so proud of her!

I know! I saw them on your blog and immediately wanted one, and then they started appearing everywhere! I don’t have that restaurant 🙁 Wow! So glad you’re mom is ok. if that’s the one thing she has to worry about, I’d say she is doing really well! Prayers to her, though <3

  4. Good luck with your race tomorrow! I always hear how fun the color run is… can’t wait to hear how it goes for you!

  5. I’ve never had a pizookie but I am jonesing for one now!! It sounds like heaven on earth 🙂
My mom played tennis while I was growing up, but now she really doesn’t work out, which is unfortunate. She isn’t overweight, but I remind her that it’s good for you INSIDES, not just your outsides! I am proud that my kids will ALWAYS see me working out and staying healthy!! 🙂

  6. Love Pizookies!! There is actually a restaurant that makes them near me. Then make them in different flavored cookies as well :D. My mom doesn’t workout, but she supports my workouts. Totally agree, No one makes it better than Starbucks 🙂

Hmm different flavor pazookies.. now that might be the best idea ever 😉 You can find me in a pazookie induced sugar coma this weekend…

  7. My mom used to work out all the time during her college years, then fell off the bandwagon once my bro and I were born. I tried to get her to start up again a few years ago, but it’s never stuck! I try to be a good influence to her through my food, though. (weird that I try to influence my mom? idk).

  8. Oh yum, half naked cookies are my favorite. That’s so sweet that your making a schedule for your mom! My mom sometimes goes to yoga or uses the elliptical but not too much, my stepdad always tries to get him to go out biking with her.

My mom loves it just like I do, but it’s the creating and finding things to do that she doesn’t! lol
