Food and Fitness 1/5/14

How many of you can guess I wrote 1/5/13 the first time? Yep, It’ll probably take me until June to get used to writing 2014! I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Aaron and I went to a beautiful wedding last year. I cannot wait to share some photos tomorrow. I’m running on some minimal sleep right now, but thankfully we don’t have a busy day ahead of us. Let’s get right to it.

Sunday: Heading to our In Laws for Dinner

Monday: Fettuccine Alfredo with Beer Biscuits

Tuesday: Salsa Chicken in Crockpot

Wednesday: Tilapia topped with crab meat, and remaining beer biscuits. Broccoli on the side.

Thursday: Meatball Sandwiches and sweet potato fries

Friday: Salsa Chicken leftovers on top of salads

Saturday: Date Night!

 

Fitness for the Week

I’ve been managing to get pretty good workouts in, but I’m not 100% yet. My runs slightly hurt, and I can’t do a lot of jumping around or circuits. I’m happy I can do anything, though!

Monday: 30 Minute Elliptical and Danica’s Upper Body strength Workout

Tuesday: 4 Mile Run and this ab workout that made me remember I hate abs Winking smile

I was sore for days…

Wednesday: Rest Day. Pretty sore, and my toe was swollen, so I didn’t want to do too much.

Thursday: 5 Mile Run and the same ab workout as Tuesday.

Also did this leg workout later on.

But I still can’t do lunges so I did front and back kicks for those!

Friday: 25 Minute Elliptical, and Biceps, Triceps, and Shoulders

Biceps triceps shoulders

Saturday: 25 Minute HIIT run on the treadmill.

Sunday: Rest Day

  2. I haven’t made the 2014 mistake -yet-, buuuuuut that’s only because I haven’t really had to write out the entire date :lol: It usually takes me a good month to catch on. And today is day 2 of my birthday celebrations [with the fam], so I see dinner and cake in my very near future :D Happy Sunday, lovely lady!

  6. I am not even sure what we are eating tonight yet, I am thanking about some cinnamon apple pancakes. A new recipe I have been wanting to try. :) When I don’t have anything planned breakfast usually becomes my go to meal. :)

      It’s such an easy fall back meal, and quite honestly, I don’t put all that much effort during the week for breakfast, so I like spending some extra time on it for dinner :)

  8. I do the same thing with my age each year following my birthday – I always want to be a year younger. :) This morning a did a 4 mile run, followed by a mile swim. Currently I am sipping a mimosa while watching football. Later I will be getting cozy with a glass of wine and watching the Bachelor! Have a great day.

      I have been so bad at remembering my age this year. I don’t know why, but when someone asks, I always have to think about it! Haha no idea why.. Love the workout for the day! Hope you are enjoying wine and the Bachelor :)

      Double yum!! I love Mexican. There are many times that I end up with 5/7 meals Mexican themed for our menu, haha. I change it but I just love it!

  10. The year change always gets me too! We’ve got burgers on wheat bread on the menu tonight. I watched some football, lesson planned for the week and read a chapter in my new book. Back to school tomorrow! Have a great week.

  11. Tonight we’re having homemade burrito bowls! I’m felling pretty lazy today so I’m really looking forward to just chopping up some veggies, throwing on some chicken from the crockpot and calling it dinner! :)
