One of the funnest races you should run.

Yesterday began in a fantastic way. I woke up in a great mood, and after a delicious breakfast consisting of an bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, I was off. My cousin, Bridget, has been wanting to take one of my fitness classes, but unfortunately never made it. She leaves for college tomorrow so I brought the class to her! We had a lot of fun doing the Insane Cardio workout I teach! After finishing that, I hopped on the treadmill to run 5 miles. Honestly, what could be better?! Teaching people fitness and getting them moving, and running?

Now for some…

1. I’m addicted to this song. Let me be clear and state I’m not a huge Taylor Swift fan. In fact, Aaron is more of a fan than I am (yes, I realize how silly that sounds! ha). But this song is so darn catchy and I’m loving it!

2. I’ve spent years trying to get my brother, Matt, to run. He has told me I’m crazy and has never in the slightest wanted to run. Yesterday, I was over there and he told me he started the Couch to 5K program. WHAT! Obviously I was super pumped and knew he needed to find a 5K to run that would be fun so he sees how fun it is to run with others. What’s better than The Color Run! The race is coming here in November and I can hardly wait to run it again. I ran it last year, but this year is the 2014 Kaleidoscope Tour, where they added EVEN MORE! Check out all you get this year.

3.  I was on a roll the other day and made both banana bread and Applesauce Cinnamon muffins. My banana bread recipe is delicious but it’s also definitely not the healthiest Winking smile I try to balance out the vast amount of pieces I’m eating, but it’s hard when this stares you in the face!

4.  Yesterday became my “get everything done” productive day, pretty much, and I’m not complaining. I should mention Wednesday was the total opposite and I wasn’t in a great mood (just to remember I don’t share everything all the time!). I went crazy doing 5 loads of laundry, one of those being sheets. Sheets are my least favorite laundry to do, for the sole reason being I can never get them on my bed without a problem. The problem is…

photo 3

No matter where he is, he will find me as I put the sheets on and lay down, and apparently not get up. I tried making the bed with him on it, and then flipped the sheet to see his head, but he just stayed there and slept for hours.

5. Massages. I need them every day. Aaron gave me a back massage last night, and it was amazing just how much I needed it and how much better I felt. Now if I could get that to happen every day…

Have you ever gotten a massage?

Will you be participating in The Color Run?

**I did receive two tickets for The Color Run in exchange for a post. However, no other compensation was given.**

  2. The Color Run is a blast! I ran it last year with my cousin. It was Allentown, PA. We had so much fun! The not so fun part was scrubbing that stuff off afterwards. It took forever!

FOREVER! And basically rubbing my skin raw, lol. I need to think of new strategies for this year so I don’t deal with that lol

  3. Aww Benny’s the cutest. I can’t do the sheets without Coco going nuts either, I don’t know what it is haha.

I’m totally craving banana bread now, that pic had me drooling!

He also loves warm clothes from the laundry. He knows exactly when I bring them up (and obviously don’t put them away right away, lol) and jumps in the basket!!

  4. I made alex massage my legs yesterday before he left for work. I told him that it had been too long and that they wanted some loving. Then I shoved my foot in his face. I’m such a winner.

  5. I’m contemplating doing the color run, not sure yet! I want to.
So, I have major opinions about Taylor Swift. I can’t get enough of that song, either – so catchy. Girl knows how to compose a catchy tune. BUT. If she even thinks about calling her next album “country,” I might have to flip a table.

TOTALLY! It is not country, and from what I hear, her album isn’t either, so it better not be classified as country. I shouldn’t even hear it on the country stations.

  6. Hahaha I cracked up when I saw that pick of Benny on Instagram last night. Such a stinker ;) peanut does the same thing anytime I try to put new sheets on a bed….he suddenly wants to snooze and/or jump on it. I was just trying to see if I could make a sports massage on my legs work sometime in September…my legs will need it by the end to finish the rest of training

He’s such a stinker for sure. He needs to be in the action all.the.time! I’m sure your legs will need it! With all the running you are doing, I think it’s a must!

  7. I ran The Color Run last year and I had so much fun! Clearly not afterwards as I had to scrub and take off that powder from places on my body I wasn’t aware of…Ooops!
So good that Aaron has accepted this challenge! I think that everyone who runs this race will definitely would want to try another one. It is just such a great experience!
Those applesauce cinnamon muffins sound heavenly!

  9. Gahhhhh I’m doing the color run in Baltimore in November! I wish you were doing that one! One of these days we’re going to figure out a way to meet up. I may need to road trip out to Pittsburgh to see you and Caitlin… Actuallyyyyy the guy that I went to the wedding with went to school there and has a lot of friends there so maybe he’ll go and that way I don’t have to drive 5 hours by myself! We will figure this out. Soon.
