Upper Body Superset

Let’s talk about yesterday. Yesterday had temps in the 60 degrees and today is going to be warmer.  After Annabelle’s nap, I knew we had to get out. While I was itching for a walk, or let’s be honest, just some fresh air, once we went down the hills and got to the flat street, we started running! Oh gosh, I LOVED it. Annabelle was smiling away, chewing on her toys, looking at me like I was a goof, ha! But I quickly learned, running with a stroller is hard. My speed dropped immensely but I still loved it. We’ll see how my legs are feeling today!

I can’t wait to get out there even more in the next coming months! She’s going to be the best running partner. I just know it!

Ok, now about that workout…

I’m all about quick workouts that actually work. Once I saw that you really can see results in 30 minute workouts from the 21 day fix, I’ve been on a mission to really fit in a good workout in less time. I don’t have hours anymore to get workouts in (though I really wish I did!). One day last week, I had a short window that I could get in a workout before we had plans for the day. Since I love working my upper body, I decided that’s what I wanted to tackle. I woke up sore the next day, and definitely knew I had to share it!

I’m also working on increasing weight. It’s easy to just stick to dumbbells that we’re used to lifting. We know we can do it, so we keep doing it. But, we aren’t going to see all the results from that! Even if the weight seems more challenging, you can’t get stronger without attempting! Maybe you can’t do all the reps, but do what you can and either drop the amount of reps, or pick up lighter weights to finish off the set.

Whatever you choose, make sure you are pushing yourself while staying safe and using correct form!

What was the last workout you did?

Have you been able to get some fresh air lately?

  1. You know I love your workouts, especially upper body ones! It’s hard to increase your weight sometimes and step out of your comfort zone, but totally worth it!

Thanks, Kate! Yes, it is hard but SO worth it! You’ve been amazing with all your working out and training! Such an inspiration!

  2. Yes! I’ve been able to get out too. It’s finally warming up and I’m going to go for another outdoor run today.

  3. I bet Annabelle loves getting a ride in the stroller while you run. The weather here is supposed to be perfect all week and I’m so pumped about it!

  4. Yay for stroller running! Annabelle is THE cutest!

These are some of my favorite arm moves. Working out my arms is now my new favorite. It used to be legs but now I kind of dread that now because I can’t walk/sit lol. It’s been super nice weather here – like 82 yesterday! Totally took advantage of that and went on a walk.

I Really need to add in more legs. My booty is still non existent! Ha We’re hoping to get out for another run/walk today! It’s supposed to be 75 🙂

  5. Annabelle looks as happy as I would going for a run! She will be a great running partner, no doubt about it! I really need to start lifting more, and I think that will happen now that I am in a gym all the time. Or I do less, WHO KNOWS. But I do have a wedding this fall that requires a bridesmaid dress that shows off the arms, so I better get to it!

JEALOUS of that new gig, girl! Love that you’ll be working in a gym 🙂 I always said that I’d love to be a group sales person or something like that in a gym.
